What this guide covers
This guide explains how to manage your ZoboLedger subscription from WhatsApp: upgrade to Premium, switch billing cycles, cancel, and resume.
For viewing your plan status and credits, see Account, billing, and credits.
Upgrade to Premium
Send Upgrade or Subscribe, or tap Help → Browse commands → Account & billing → Plan & billing → Upgrade to Premium.
You will see:
- Monthly — ₦9,550/month, includes 100 credits, up to 5 branches
- Yearly — ₦114,600/year, includes 1,300 credits, up to 5 branches
Tap your choice and complete the secure checkout in WhatsApp. Payment is processed via Stripe. Your Premium access starts immediately after payment succeeds.
Open the subscription menu
Send Manage subscription or tap Plan & billing from Account & billing.
The subscription menu shows your current status and options:
- Plan — Free, Premium Monthly, or Premium Yearly
- Next renewal or Expiry date
- Actions available based on your status (upgrade, switch, cancel, resume)
Switch between monthly and yearly
If you are already on Premium:
- Open Plan & billing → Manage subscription.
- Tap Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly.
- Confirm the change.
ZoboLedger will prorate the charge or credit for the switch. The new billing cycle starts immediately.
Cancel your subscription
From Manage subscription, tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
What happens next:
- Your Premium access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- Included credits stay available until expiry.
- No future charges are made.
- You can resume anytime before expiry if you change your mind.
Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current period. If you are within a few days of renewal and want to avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date.
Resume a cancelled subscription
If you cancelled and your Premium period has not expired yet:
- Open Manage subscription.
- Tap Resume billing.
- Confirm.
Your subscription will renew automatically at the next billing date. If you cancelled after your expiry already passed, you will need to upgrade again with a new payment.
Paused billing status
If billing is paused (for example, payment method failed or you paused manually), Premium features are turned off until you resume:
- Open Manage subscription.
- Tap Resume billing.
- Update your payment method if needed via Billing & invoices.
Once resumed, Premium features and included credits become active again.
Past due or payment failed
If a renewal charge fails, ZoboLedger shows Payment issue in your status. You will still have access for a grace period, but you must update your payment method to avoid losing Premium:
- Open Manage subscription.
- Tap Billing & invoices.
- Update your card or payment method.
ZoboLedger will retry the charge automatically.
View billing invoices
From Manage subscription, tap Billing & invoices to open the Stripe billing portal. There you can:
- View past invoices
- Download receipts
- Update your payment method
- See upcoming charges
Check subscription expiry
Send My profile or open Manage subscription to see your expiry date. Premium users see the next renewal date. Cancelled users see when access ends.
Included credits stay available until expiry even if you cancel early.
What happens after expiry
If your Premium subscription expires and you do not renew:
- You revert to the Free plan.
- Branch and staff features become unavailable (your data stays intact, but you cannot add new entries from staff lines).
- Full PDF reports and NRS exports are disabled.
- Quick profit summaries in chat still work.
- Purchased credit packs (non-subscription) remain available forever.
You can upgrade again anytime to restore Premium features.
Buy more credits
Credits are separate from subscription status. Even Premium users may need extra credits for heavy e-invoice periods.
From Account & billing, tap Buy credits and pick a volume pack. Purchased credits never expire and work on Free or Premium. See Account, billing, and credits.
