What this guide covers

ZoboLedger works entirely through WhatsApp. This guide walks you through your first setup, how to use the Help menu, and what you can do with Browse commands.

Send your first message

Open WhatsApp and message the ZoboLedger number.
Send Hello ZoboLedger or Help.
You will receive a welcome message with quick profit buttons and a Browse commands option.

You get 7 free transaction entries to try the service. After that, bookkeeping uses credits from your balance. Premium includes monthly credits, and anyone can buy top-up packs.

Use the Help menu

Tap Help or send Help anytime to see:

Today's profit and Week's profit quick reports
Browse commands to explore all available actions

The Help menu is your starting point when you need to find a command or check your books.

Tap Browse commands from Help to see the full list of what ZoboLedger can do:

Record money in/out

Examples of what you can record: sold bread for 5k, spent 2k on fuel, or send a receipt photo. See How to record sales and expenses.

Profit & summaries

Quick reports in chat: profit today, sales this week, expenses this month. Works without leaving the conversation.

Reports

Full PDF exports on Premium, including Statement of Profit or Loss, NRS Tax Report, and Expense receipts ZIP. See Download reports and tax exports.

Drafts (Pending)

Confirm, edit, or delete pending transactions before they become final entries. Send Pending or tap this option from Browse commands.

Fix an entry

Edit amounts, void duplicates, or check history for a saved transaction using its reference number. See Edit, void, or fix a transaction.

Invoice

Create NRS-compliant B2B and B2G e-invoices, manage drafts, and check fiscalisation reports. See Create B2B and B2G e-invoices.

Branches & staff

Set up multiple locations and link staff WhatsApp numbers on Premium. See Branches and staff on ZoboLedger.

Account & billing

View your profile, manage your subscription, buy credits, or recover your number if you change phones. See Account, billing, and credits.

Plain English works anytime

You do not need to memorize commands. ZoboLedger understands natural language:

I sold bread for 5k (records a sale)
How much profit did I make today? (shows profit)
Show me my pending entries (opens drafts)

If the system is not sure, it will ask you to confirm or pick from a list.

What happens after your free entries

After 7 free entries, ZoboLedger uses credits from your balance. One unified credit balance powers both bookkeeping and NRS e-invoices:

Bookkeeping: text entries use 0.05 credits, receipt photos 0.07, voice notes 0.08
E-invoices: one credit submits one NRS e-invoice

Premium plans include 100 credits per month (monthly billing) or 1,300 per year (yearly billing). Free accounts can buy credit packs anytime. See Account, billing, and credits.
